Current Schedule: Wednesday, 8-9pm Eastern
Edits is a (usually) weekly mix show hosted by Left Fold (Decklin Foster) on Boston Free Radio. The genre has evolved from "bass music/'nuum" to "whatever I feel like", but mostly UK house/garage/formerly-known-as-dubstep, downtempo, drum & bass, techno, juke/footwork, grime, hardcore/rave/acid/etc, hip-hop, and the occasional bit of indie rock or weird ambient/modern-classical/jazz/etc.
You can also browse the full archives. The past month or two of shows can be downloaded or streamed with HTML5 audio.
The name refers to the process of cutting up tracks to fit together (I arrange the show in Ableton and mixdown/do effects live) and fit into a mere (usually) 60 minutes. Very few tracks get played straight through like I would do in a normal DJ set.
There are two ways to hear the show:
You can shout at me on Twitter, and I'll (try to) shout back on the show: @leftfold for the DJ (my general "talking shit about music" account), @editsradio for schedule updates, track IDs, and live commentary.
Email: leftfold [ɐ] editsradio.org (If you've read this far, and you have a promo/dub you're shopping around, I probably want to play it.)
